Looking for a sinfully delicious dessert? Wait until you try this totally mouthwatering peanut butter pie no bake recipe!

Ok so I’ve got a little confession to make.

I’ve been keeping this recipe from you for a while now. f

Not sure why I haven’t shared it because it is SO SO…SO GOOD.

In fact, it is so rich that it’s not something I make often.

But I love anything with chocolate and peanut butter so LET’S GO!

What I love most about this peanut butter pie recipe is that it’s no bake so to make it is almost effortless.

Whip all the ingredients up together and you’ve got an unforgettable dessert.

That said, you can make your own chocolate cookie crumble crust (which is a brief baking) or you can use a premade cookie or graham cracker crust.

To be honest, I’d make this with a homemade chocolate cookie crumble that I’m sharing in this post. But you can do it either way.

Wait until you taste this sinfully delicious, decadent dessert recipe for peanut butter pie!

What is Peanut Butter Pie Made Of?

Classic peanut butter pie has peanut butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and cream that is whipped together to make a delicious dessert.

It’s typically poured into a flaky crust made from chocolate cookies or graham crackers.

If you love a mix of peanut butter and chocolate, I’d go with a chocolate cookie pie crust over graham crackers but that’s just me.

What Type of Crust Works Best for Peanut Butter Pie?

Again, choosing what type of crust works best for peanut butter pie is a personal preference.

If you go all in and make my homemade cookie crumble crust, you’ll need to bake that part of the recipe but it’s worth it.

Now if you don’t want to make the crust yourself, simply buy a chocolate crumble pie crust and call it a day. They are readily available so it’s a no-brainer to do it.

But I’m telling you, you will want to make the crust yourself because it makes it taste that much better.

I love to use Oreo cookies to make my pie crust homemade.

How do you Make a Chocolate Cookie Crumble Pie Crust?

Making a chocolate cookie crumble pie crust is easy to do and takes minutes to make.

Here’s what you need.

  • 1 1/4 Cups Oreo Cookies (about 20) Crushed
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Melted Butter

To crush the cookies, you can pulse them in a food processor or drop them in a ziplock bag and crush them by hand.

I prefer crushing them myself because I love larger cookie crumbles in the crust. So you have some leeway with how you crush the cookies.

After crushing the cookies down, combine all of the pie crust ingredients together and press into a 9″ pie plate.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes and allow to cool before adding the peanut butter pie mixture.

But like I said if you don’t want to go through the motions of making this homemade pie crust yourself, buy a premade one at the market.

How to Make This Peanut Butter Pie No Bake Recipe

Now that we got the homemade pie crust out of the way, let’s whip up this silky delicious dessert that will be the hit of your next party.

It’s THAT good, I’m telling you!

I’ve seen peanut butter pie made a few different ways and have tried it at multiple restaurants and I have to say, this recipe is still my favorite.

If you want to literally whip up an amazing dessert in minutes, you cannot go wrong with this recipe.

Because really, who doesn’t love peanut butter and chocolate?

And the cool thing about this recipe for peanut butter pie is the chocolate because it’s not overwhelming. So you really get the flavor of creamy peanut butter in a sweet-tasting pie with a chocolate crunch.

That’s why, to me, the homemade chocolate cookie crumb pie crust is a necessity but don’t feel you have to do the extra work. You can get away with purchasing a pre-made pie crust.

Peanut Butter Pie Recipe Ingredients

This recipe is pretty easy to whip up (literally). Grab the following ingredients and mix them all together to make a creamy dessert.

Here’s what you need.

  • Chocolate cookie crumble or graham cracker crust (see above)
  • Package of softened cream cheese
  • Creamy peanut butter
  • Sugar
  • Softened butter
  • Vanilla
  • Heavy cream, whipped

I prefer to work with whipped cream cheese versus the block cream cheese because I think it mixes better but you can use either.

If you go with block cream cheese, make sure it softens so it’s easier to mix.

How to Make This Recipe for Peanut Butter Pie

Once you determine whether you are making your pie crust from scratch or buying it pre-made, the rest is pretty simple.

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

Fold in the whipped cream.

Then gently spoon the peanut butter mixture into the crust.

Garnish with shaved chocolate or cookie crumbs if desired.

Refrigerate immediately after preparing so it sets. I’d give it a few hours before slicing into it.

Sounds pretty simple to make, am I right?

Enjoy!
