Actually, it turns out that the series got cancelled because the company that was making it (DNA Productions) went bankrupt. Originally, Nick did have plans to renew Jimmy Neutron for a 4th season, and the scripts for a few of those episodes were even completed, but never got produced due to the company going defunct.
