Corners and Upper Deck at Chase Field Well-Covered

With the hot temperatures in Arizona, shade is at a premium at Chase Field. Even with the roof open, the Upper Deck is well-covered, as are corner sections on the infield, including 135-138, 220-223 and 106-109. Right field sections near the pool and seats down the first base line and behind the dugout are in the sun the longest during afternoon and night games.

Other Popular Seating Areas

  • 100 Level Corner (Football) Seating

Corner views from the lowest seating tier at Chase Field can be found both behind home plate, as well as near the left field corner. Seats behind home plate offer a clearer view as you won't have to battle the left field foul pole, with the best views here coming in the last rows of the 100 level sections. Lettered sections behind home plate are also known as the Club House Box, which will have roomier, more comfortable seating, but a poor viewing height for seeing all areas of the field.

In the left field corner, Sections 136-138 offer an interesting option as you can find some more affordable lower level seats. However the foul pole can cause some viewing obstructions in many of the areas, so we recommend staying in the lower numbered seats of Section 136 or the higher numbered seats of Section 138 where the sight lines are more clear.

  • 100 Level Endzone (Football) Seating

Endzone seating options include the sections along the first base line, as well as those just beyond the left field wall. Lettered sections A-F on the first base side are also known as the Dugout Box, where fans will find more spacious legroom and closer proximity to the field, but will have a very shallow seating height making it difficult to follow the action at the far endzone.

For the best overall experience from the lower endzone options, we recommend the higher rows of Sections 114-117 (along the first base line). You'll find a good viewing height near the top rows, and will also have a good viewing angle to the main videoboard in center field (left field seats will have a difficult head turn to see the videoboard).

  • 100 Level Sideline (Football) Seating

Fans will find some very good views in the 100 level sideline sections when sitting near the top of the sections. Seats closer to the field are exciting for being close to the players and the field, but the views will be difficult with very little elevation above field level.

Lettered dugout box sections are some of the closet options to the field and offer wider more comfortable seating, but we prefer the higher rows of the 100 level sections for the best overall views of the field and close access to the main concourse. Most 100 level sections along the third base line end at Row 40, making seats in Rows 30 and higher an excellent choice.

  • 300 Level Corner (Football) Seating

Located behind home plate on the highest seating tier at Chase Field, the 300 Level Corner sections will have some of the furthest views of the field. The head on views of the videoboard are a plus, however fans in the highest rows will be left with some of the least desirable views of the action on the field.

Sections here have up to 32 numbered rows of seating, and entry tunnels located near the front at Row 4. If possible we recommend staying in Rows 1-5 to avoid feeling too far from the action and will also help keep you closer to the concourse.

  • 300 Level Endzone (Football) Seating

The highest of the endzone seating options, the 300 Level Sections down the first base line will have good views of the near endzone, while the far side of the field will be more difficult to follow. Fans will have a good line of sight to the videoboard in center field, requiring only a small head turn to catch the replays and highlights.

Sections here are larger with up to 40 rows of seating in each, and section entry tunnels are located at Row 4.

  • 300 Level Sideline (Football) Seating

While further from the field than the lower level and club level seats, you can still find some good views of the game from the 300 level, most notably in these sideline sections near midfield. Sections 324-326 keep you close to the 50 yard line, offering good viewing height and optimal sight lines for seeing both ends of the field.

Seating sections here are larger than most with up to 40 rows of seating, which can leave some long walks to and from the concourse. Entry tunnels are located at row 4, leaving seats in Rows 1-10 as the best options thanks to the view and close access to restrooms and concessions.

  • Club Level Corner (Football) Seating

Corner seating on the Club Level is available behind home plate, and in a few sections down near the left field corner. The second tier seating height provides some of the best viewing angles available, however some obstructions will be found in Sections 221-223 due to the left field foul pole.

Behind home plate, fans will find the clearest views among the Club Corner options and will also have some of the smallest seating sections in the entire park (no more than 2 rows of seating in each). Combine the straight away views of the center field videoboard with the easy access given the smaller seating rows, and these sections behind home plate are a great choice for fans looking for convenience and comfort.

  • Field Sideline (Football) Seating

The closest of any seating option at Chase Field for a football game, these seating areas are temporary additions added to the outfield grass. Sitting here will be an exciting option given the proximity to the field and position right on the field, however fans should be prepared for long walks to and from the restrooms and concessions.

Each section features 26 numbered rows of seating, beginning with Row 1 at the very front. The best views will be in the higher rows where you'll have better elevation to see over the team on the sideline and through to the field of play.

  • 100 Level Infield (Baseball) Seating

100 Level Infield seating provides fans with close views of the field from 1st base to 3rd base inside the inner seating bowl. Located just behind the Field Level sections, none of the 100 Level Infield sections extend to the field, but will keep you close to the action regardless.

The seating sections start at row 21 in the front and run through row 39 in the back. These seats are in a good area to catch a foul ball, and with the retractable roof (and stadium air conditioning), fans should have little concern about the sun.

  • 100 Level Outfield (Baseball) Seating

100 Outfield is the most affordable option for fans that want to be right up against the field within the inner seating bowl.

These sections are also home to some of the best seats for watching the action in the bullpens, with seats in Row 25 of sections 136-138 overlooking the Diamondbacks bullpen, and seats in Row 25 of sections 106-108 overlooking the visitor bullpen.

These seats are another great options for being in foul ball territory and offer many family friendly concessions such as Cold Stone Creamery (Section 137), Team Store Kiosks (Sections 107, 111, and 133) and Family Restrooms (Sections 109 and 135).

  • 300 Level Infield (Baseball) Seating

The 300 Level is the highest seating area at Chase Field, offering less desirable views of the field than most other areas at the ballpark.

From the Infield portion of the 300 Level (also known as Infield Reserved), fans will have good sight lines to the center field scoreboard, and while the play on the field might be far, you're sure to save a few dollars on the cost of your ticket.

Sections here are among some of the largest with up to 40 rows of seating per section. Entry tunnels are located near the bottom of the sections (at Row 4), so fans who don't want a long walk to the restrooms and concessions should avoid seats in the higher rows.

  • 300 Level Outfield (Baseball) Seating

300 Level Outfield seating is the furthest of any seating area at Chase Field. The views of the scoreboard in center field will be great but there are much better options for enjoying the views of the game.

With up to 40 rows of seating, these sections are large and may be cumbersome for getting in and out for your seat for trips to the restrooms and concessions. And while the views of the field are less desirable, the family amenities in these sections are by far the best.

The Chase Field Sandlot is located on this upper tier closest to section 332W. This unique area includes Futures Field (a mini replica of Chase Field for whiffle ball and running the bases), a playground, and batting cages.

Best Seats for Great Views of the Field

Chase Field Seating - RateYourSeats.com (14)

Chase Field is an impressive structure with its state of the art retractable roof, but unfortunately the seating sections of the inner seating bowl are not as well designed. Other than the options located between the corner bases, most sections have fans pointing towards the outfield. And if you you're sitting beyond the outfield wall there are portions of the warning track where you won't be able to see. So one important tip to take away when searching for good views at a D-Backs game is stay between the edges of the dugouts.

Among the best options for watching a baseball game at Chase Field are found in sections 127-129 above the D-Backs dugout (third base side), or sections 115-117 above the visitors dugout. These seats do not extend all the way to the field due to the premium Field Box sections just beneath, but this helps to provide more seating height for wider and deeper sight lines. The protecting netting behind home plate extends to sections 115 and 129, so we recommend opting for sections beyond the dugouts if you prefer to avoid the netting from coming into view as you look to home plate.

But if you don't mind looking through the netting, seats behind home plate are an excellent option in rows 21-30 of sections 121-123. These are located in the lower portion of the section and just above the premium Field Box seats, offering a good viewing height and impressive proximity to the batters box. You can make calls like an umpire thanks to great views of pitches as they cross the plate, and if you miss something on the field, you still have an straight away viewing angle to the center field scoreboard.

On the second tier of Chase Field (also known as the Club level), fans will have an ideal seating height which provides excellent overall views of the field when sitting in sections 206-208 and 212-214. These seats have great alignment to the infield, and an additional bonus is the in-seat wait service. Order food and beverage right to your seat and spend less time in the concourse away from the game. Be cautious if searching in sections 209 and 211 as the seats closest to home plate will have an additional railing impacting the view of home plate.

Club level sections behind home plate (210A-210I) are an intriguing option as they feature no more than 2 rows of seating, but it is important to note that you can only access the concourse from tunnels on the first base side of section 210A or the third base side of 210I. Therefore, if sitting right in line with home plate (section 210E) you will have a lengthy trip away from the game to visit the restroom.

The upper seating tier of Chase Field is very steep, and if you are sitting above the entry tunnel (located at row 4), you're likely to be battling at least one railing for a clear view down to the field. This makes it difficult to recommend seats on the 300 level for watching a baseball game, but if you're priced out of the 100 and 200 level seats, try to search for seats within the first 3 rows (below the tunnels) and stay between the corner bases.
