A Look At The Luxury Theater Box Experience At San Francisco’s State-Of-The-Art Chase Center (2024)

Whether you’re at San Francisco’s Chase Center to cheer on the Golden State Warriors or for a once-in-a-lifetime concert experience, you’re in for a treat. This state-of-the-art stadium is home to incredible food vendors, many of which hail from the Bay Area, thanks to Chase Center’s Taste Maker Program.

Taste Makers gives Bay Area businesses the chance to thrive through networking and educational programming, in addition to showcasing their cuisine at the stadium. From Bakesale Betty’s fried chicken sandwiches to Peaches Patties’ Jamaican patties, the food at the stadium isn’t your typical burgers and hot dogs situation.

But what really sets Chase Center’s culinary offerings above the rest, is the elevated cuisine, and overall luxurious experience that can be found at the stadium’s Theater Boxes. Along the sideline of Chase Center are the Theater Boxes which can accomodate up to four people at a private table, which includes an exclusive dining area and plush, private balcony seating.

For those looking for an all-inclusive experience that includes wine, beer and bubbles and an all-you-can-eat buffet, complete with candy and snacks for the game or show, this is it. With unobstructed views of the court or stage, it’s an unbeatable way to experience what the stadium has to offer. The buffet offers an array of food ranging from meat carving stations and pastas to salads, roasted vegetables, and an a varied selection of specialities from around the world.

We chatted with John Beaven, Executive Vice President of Ticket Sales and Services, on the Theater Box experiences at Chase Center, Taste Makers and more. Here’s what he had to say.

Can you discuss how the Theater Boxes at Chase Center differ from box seats at other stadiums, and how they offer a more elevated and refined game day food experience?

Chase Center's Theater Boxes are luxurious, with plush, private balcony seats that offer premium views of the court and arena, and high-end dining amenities. This includes a sophisticated private dining room with reserved seating for each group, a full bar, and large TVs for watching the game or concert while dining.

The all-inclusive experience features an elevated menu that rotates seasonally and includes multiple made-from-scratch courses by Bon Appetit Management Company. Guests can also enjoy small plates like charcuterie, and fresh dishes made with ingredients sourced from local farms. Additionally, the culinary experience is paired with complimentary wine, beer, and refreshments.

Can you provide details on booking this experience, including price point and the main demographic? Can anyone book the suites?

There are a total of 60 Theater Boxes, located along both sidelines. They are available for purchase in groups of four and are accessible to any sports, concert, or live event enthusiast. Theater Boxes can be bought on SuiteXchange (along with Suites and Lounges), or directly through Chase Center by contacting suites@warriors.com.

The price of the Theater Boxes varies depending on the concert, game, or event. They're an excellent way to celebrate special occasions, such as birthdays or anniversaries, with the availability of a personal concierge who can customize the experience to make it extra special. Theater Boxes are a popular option for those seeking an intimate and exceptional night out with friends or family.

Can you describe the menu, including whether it changes each night, what inspires the food, and who the chef is?

There are six elevated menus that rotate throughout the year. Kristela Nazario-Mendoza, the Chef and Culinary Director of Bon Appetit Management, updates the rotation every three months based on seasonality and inspired by readily available, farm-fresh ingredients.

Guests can expect delicate dishes packed with flavor, such as North Indian Spiced Roasted Leg of Lamb, Porchetta Pork Roast with Fennel & Turnips, Squash & Cavatappi Pasta, Polenta Cake & Wild Mushroom Sugo, and Dark Chocolate Strawberry Pretzel Bark — just to name a few. All the dishes complement the list of rotating, hand-crafted co*cktails.

What drives the culinary program at Chase, and how do you decide which vendors get to be a part of the stadium's food offerings?

At Chase Center, what sets the food program apart is the fact that they serve fresh, from-scratch local favorites and dishes representing the diverse culinary experience of the Bay Area. Each eatery in the arena is equipped with its own micro-kitchen, ensuring that the food served is made fresh that day.

From traditional fan favorites to a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, Chase Center offers fans a wide array of food choices, so there is something for everyone. Chase Center also features the Taste Makers at Chase Center program, which gives locally owned food and beverage vendors an opportunity to apply to have a presence inside Chase Center and get their product in front of the millions of fans that visit the arena every year.

Are there any new or exciting developments in the culinary program at Chase or Thrive Center as a whole?

The team is always looking to expand their horizons, source great talent, and support local restaurants that encompass the true diversity of tastes in the Bay Area. We will be welcoming a new class of local Taste Makers at Chase Center come fall and adding new dishes across the arena’s culinary program ahead of the 23-24 Golden State Warriors season (while keeping tried and true fan favorites, of course).
