2013 Nissan Sentra Review, Problems, Reliability, Value, Life Expectancy, MPG (2024)

Sep 22, 2022

The 2013 Nissan Sentra only lasts around 125,000 miles with serious transmission failures and brake system issues. At $7,896 to $8,683 it’s cheap but not worth the money since you’ll spend thousands repairing it as it ages.

2013 Nissan Sentra Review, Problems, Reliability, Value, Life Expectancy, MPG (1)

The Good

Nice interior materials for the money, cargo space is great for a compact car and the engine is efficient.

The Bad

Steering feels loose compared to other cars, transmission is noisy and ownership costs are high.

Is the 2013 Nissan Sentra a Good Used Car?

  • Overall Rating 4/10 – 2013 is one of the worst years for the Sentra making it deserve a low rating as it’s developed a reputation for being extremely unreliable. Owner reviews complain about transmission failures, electrical issues, and computer problems.
  • Interior, Comfort & Cargo 7/10 – Interior materials are nice for an economy car, the seats are comfortable with plenty of legroom, and the trunk is larger than average.
  • Reliability 3/10 – 2013 has more complaints than any other year for the Sentra. We recommend avoiding models from 20112017. There are improvements for 20182020.
  • Performance 4/10 – The 4-cylinder engine is weak in the city and almost dangerously slow at highway speeds if you need to pass another car.
  • Safety 5/10 – The 2013 Sentra gets an overall rating of 4-stars, yet the front passenger side impact score is an unimpressive 3-stars. There are no advanced safety features available. Base models come with outdated drum brakes in the rear.
  • Gas Mileage 8/10 – Fuel efficiency is great at up to 34 MPG giving 448 miles of range out of the 13.2 gallon tank. Gas costs are $58 cheaper than average, at $146 per month.
  • Value 5/10 – The 2013 Nissan Sentra is cheap, but it depreciates very fast suffering from mechanical problems, making it a terrible value.

The key fob battery can die and you won't be able to start your car

I love the size of it. The trunk is huge. It holds my baby seat and all of the things I need for my baby comfortably.

Cristina S

It will last a long time as long as it is maintenances well.

I love how reliable it is. It is not too small for a family of 4 to take a trip. The trunk size is also amazing. No complaints really.

Nick S

It is safe, dependable, and gets great gas mileage. It is cheap relatively and was great value.

I like the miles per gallon of my car as well as the handling. I like that it is safe. I like that is sleek and stylish.

Raymond C

If it's safe and how the process works when being in shotgun

The car is awesome. I can't imagine not being able to transfer from place to place by walking

Daphne C

Magnificent ride. Couldn't ask for better.

Haven't had any problems with my Sentra. Runs beautifully. Great on gas and mileage. Great on the highway too. The ride is very smooth. The Sentra is light and kinda fast, if that is what you like. The sunroof is wonderful day or night. Like the stylish lighting at night. Overall it's nice.

Summer M

Never want to live without a backup camera ever again!

I drive a 2013 Nissan Sentra. I love the comfort of the seats, the black interior, and the sophisticated exterior of this car! It drives so smooth and comfortable. The trunk is especially spacious! This Year and model also include a backup camera which I can't live without now that I have one!

Sabrina C

I would recommend Nissan to anyone who wants some bang for their buck.

I love my car. It hurts really get gas mileage and I feel safe and confident driving it. I also love the features like the satellite radio and backup camera. I also get great service and care at Nissan when my car needs to be serviced. There were a few recalls early on but Nissan fixed them and there has been no trouble with the car.

Tyler T

Why I love my Nissan sentra.

When turning it makes an occasional squealing noise, but otherwise a very durable and well-performing vehicle. Car has been in a couple of accidents and besides small cosmetic issues continued to truck along just fine with minimal effect on performance. Following repairs, car ran as well as it did prior to the accidents.

Negative Owner Reviews

Monique

Transmission failed at 56,000 miles and 9 months passed the 5 year warranty.

I don’t understand how a Transmission can fail with such low mileage. I escalated the problem with corporate. I’m praying Nissan does the right thing and replace my Transmission free of charge.

Jacquelyne S

Nissan sentra 2013 clean inside and out.

The car is a great car but my transmission went out it is clean inside and out it is a light grey car it has a lot of miles on it but is in perfect condition, everything works on the car and it is also a new battery windshield, blinkers,ac, and windows work, windows are tinted.

nicki s

Make sure to buy from a trustworthy dealer. Don't believe everything they tell you. Make sure car is in perfect condition before you leave lot.

Too small for road trips. Dealer service was terrible. Overpriced car.

Ken T

Nissan sentra why I don't like

I never really wanted a Nissan but at the time it was what I can afford. I've had minor issues since I've had it I would recommend getting a Toyota or Honda. Nissan sentra to me are not good cars however. Currently my rotors are acting up and my engine light comes on and off but no issues with the engine

Alyssa

2 cvt transmission fails

Transmission failures at 60k and again at 116k. First time extended warranty covered, second time I'm sol. I even went in 8 months ago when it was still covered and told them the transmission was failing. The service manager told me it was because no codes showed up. He said he drove it but there is no way or they would have noticed. I owe 8k and its 4k to fix it! The car does not move at all. I kept noticing this problem but since they said it wasnt that and that is how the car drives I believed them.

Adam B

It is a trash car. Really bad.

Electrical and motor issues constantly. I have had to put a ton of money into it since I bought it. My radio does not always work and it goes off all the time. Constant bad noises coming from the car. For sure will not buy this kind of car again. It is terrible.

William S

Disappointed Nissan sentra owner.

I have spent entirely too much money on repairs for my car. It needed a new transmission that I spent over 3 grand for and Nissan didn't pay a dime even though they knew this was a huge issue. Also, the shifter locks which is another common problem. As a result, I will never buy Nissan ever again.

2013 Sentra Transmission problems

Do NOT buy vehicles with CVT transmission, they fail every 2-5 years. Warranty 7 yrs 84K. My transmission failed at 55K miles and again at 105K miles.

What Do Critics Say About the Nissan Sentra?

  • Consumer Reports says the Sentra looks good on paper but doesn’t live up to expectations, with awful owner satisfaction scores.
  • Edmunds gives the 2013 Sentra a 2.9/5, praising the spacious interior, but doesn’t like the very weak engine.
  • Kelley Blue Book users rate the Sentra 3.7/5 and enjoy the efficient engine, however, owners find ownership costs to be high.

What Common Problems Does the 2013 Nissan Sentra Have?

The common problems found on the 2013 Nissan Sentra include transmission failures, a broken brake system, and the engine stalling while driving. Overall, these problems are more severe than in other compact cars from 2013, repair costs are more expensive, too.

Transmission failures are a widespread complaint from owners at around 90,000 miles. The continuously variable transmission (CVT) is a known weak spot across many Nissan cars, failing easily. There’s no way to easily repair a CVT so it has to be completely replaced, costing around $4,000.

A broken brake system is also reported by owners at around 45,000 miles. The entire brake system wears out, including the master cylinder, booster, and lines. Replacing the complete brake system is an expensive project, costing around $3,000.

The engine stalling while driving is another serious problem mentioned by owners in the first 50,000 miles. Often it’s a problem with the mass airflow sensor, which costs around $300 to replace. Some owners have also reported damaged wiring harnesses, which cost over $1,500 to change.

There are 6 recalls, most of them cover airbags which are not very serious. The most dangerous recall only affects 392 cars, covering a leaking fuel tank. Nissan will replace the gas tank on those cars for free.

How Long Will the 2013 Nissan Sentra Last?

A well-maintained 2013 Nissan Sentra will last around 125,000 miles, which is less than half as long as top-rated competitors like the Toyota Corolla. Regular annual maintenance costs are much higher than average for a compact car, according to Repair Pal, at $669 per year.

Since most used 2013 Sentra models will have over 100,000 miles buyers should be prepared to replace the rack and pinion for $1,350, the engine oil pan costing $350, and the radiator fan assembly which costs $700.

Emily W

Yes the gear shift does not light up during nighttime. Also I had a problem with my transmission. Whenever I got my car serviced it took forever.

Tay H

Right now the car is almost 7 years old and it has not shown any problems. It seems very reliable to me.

J F

The Nissan sentra is very reliable. I have never had an issue with my car and I have 100,000 miles on it.

Tiara d

Yes it is a very reliable care. I had to change the fuel pump, there seems to be a short with the radio that turns up and down when it wants to but it happens so randomly that it is hard to take it to a place to get fixed.

jessica p

When I drive it skids to go then after a while it will go. I have to replace the motor mount which I do no we have to change from time to time.

angelique p

The 2013 Nissan sentra sv is reliable. I haven't had any major problems with my Nissan. Right now I need some new rotors and tires but that is just normal wear and tear from driving the vehicle.

It is reliable if you do not have to drive far distances daily. I have had to replace my transmission only after 6-9 months of owning the vehicle. There has been 3-4 recalls. And now there is news the transmissions were flawed and there's another recall.

Kim J

It is reliable. The only problem I've found is that the key fob doesn't always work even when you replace its battery.

How Is the Technology?

The entertainment technology in the 2013 Nissan Sentra is good for a compact car with an available 5.8-inch touchscreen, and Bluetooth connectivity. Unfortunately, there’s no advanced safety technology available.

Is the 2013 Nissan Sentra a Good Value?

No, the 2013 Nissan Sentra is not a good value since it’s expensive to own. Blue book prices range from $7,896 to $8,683, making it cheaper than other compact cars including the Honda Civic or Mazda3. When new, the price range was $15,990 to $19,590. Depreciation is worse than average, losing about 15% of its current value per year.

What are the Different Models of the Nissan Sentra?

There are four models of the Nissan Sentra offered for 2013 from the base S model all the way up to the top-of-the-line SL.

S is the entry-level model with:

  • 16-Inch Steel Wheels

What Engines Come In the Nissan Sentra?

The engine found in the 2013 Nissan Sentra is a weak 1.8L 4-cylinder which only makes 130 horsepower while getting up to 34 MPG. Performance is terrible, taking 9.7 seconds to go from 0-60 MPH, which is slower than competitors.

What Colors Does the Nissan Sentra Come In?

How Comfortable Is the Nissan Sentra?

The 2013 Nissan Sentra is very comfortable for a compact car with seats that are supportive and soft. There’s seating for up to 5 people, the optional leather is high-quality for a car in its price range.

Passenger room is great throughout the cabin, with enough legroom in the backseats to easily fit adults.

How Much Storage Space Does the Nissan Sentra Have?

Cargo space is better than most other compact cars while the trunk is similar in size to midsize sedans. There’s enough space in the trunk for 4-6 suitcases.

2013 Nissan Sentra Review, Problems, Reliability, Value, Life Expectancy, MPG (2)

What Are the Differences Between Years?

The seventh generation of the Nissan Sentra was launched in 2013, and replaced by the 8th generation for the 2020 model year.

2011: More fuel efficient engines, standard ABS and stability control systems.

2012: Optional technology package added to 2.0 S model.

2013: Fully redesigned seventh generation released with roomier interior and more efficient engines.

2014: Suspension improvements, quieter cabin, and smartphone apps available.

2015: Base S model gets cruise control, USB & Bluetooth, front structure modified to be safer.

2016: Minor exterior styling changes, optional adaptive cruise control & automatic braking added.

How Does the Nissan Sentra Compare to the Competition?

The Nissan Sentra is one of the least reliable cars you can buy from 2013 with widespread transmission failures. Buyers should avoid models from 20112017 and go with something from 2018 or newer.

The Nissan Altima is another sedan made by Nissan which costs around $2,000 more. Passenger space is better in the Nissan Altima since it’s larger, although the freshly redesigned Nissan Sentra has better technology. We recommend avoiding both the Nissan Altima and Nissan Sentra since they suffer from expensive transmission failures.

The Toyota Corolla is a competitor which costs around $1,500 more. Reliability ratings are much better in the Toyota Corolla, but the Nissan Sentra has a higher-quality interior with more passenger space. We recommend the Toyota Corolla since they last much longer and have lower ownership costs.

Tiara d

Yes it is good. I haven't had much trouble with it sense I got it beside having to replace the fuel pump because the sensor didn't work anymore. The piece alone was $500 dollars not including the labor.

jessica p

Very much so I love my car it is fully loaded has seat warmers automatic cruise control and a system with base.

angelique p

The Nissan sentra is good on gas, reliable, and trendy. All in all it's a good vehicle. As a mother of two that drives a lot it's been perfect for my family.

Teri W

Kind of. It could be better. I have had a lot of repairs since I have owned the vehicle which are not normal wear and tare.

Nissan Sentras have great gas mileage.

This car has been really great. It gets fantastic gas mileage and includes a remote lock/unlock. It heats up and cools down quickly. There is a lot of space in the trunk and the back seats fold down for any long items you may need to transport. I would highly recommend this car.

Jerry D on June 17, 2021

Family traveler with everyone in mind.

My Nissan sentra have no problem as far as performance it is as fast and powerful as I could want quick on the go. With plenty of safety features. Automatic and manual transmission with abs brakes, lane change warning and braking assist. So reliable all I do is change the oil in it. Plentiful leg room and dual climate control allows for next level comfort. Power windows, power locks, Bluetooth compatibility with CD player and sunroof.

Kayla M on June 16, 2021

There are Bose speakers in the car and Bluetooth capabilities for music.

I have had to replace the transmission in my car twice. Other than that I love my car, it has a lot of safety features in it. I have a sunroof as well as a navigation system in it. There is dual control for the heat and air conditioning as well as hands free phone use. I love all the features but my favorite is the heated seats.

Peggy W on June 4, 2021

Gas efficient, safe family car.

It has great gas mileage and is a smooth ride. I really like the ability to choose an eco or sport handling. The folding rear seats makes a great addition to the use of space. The ability to unlock the doors or open the trunk makes cold winter days much easier as well as adding a sense of security.

Amanda R on June 4, 2021

Nissan sentra for the weary traveler.

My sentra has been reliable, but sometimes the gear shift lags a bit. So far, the transmission is still in working condition (in my last car, it went out quickly). I drive frequently for travel, but it is still reliable. The cabin seems more spacious than it looks from the exterior and the seats are comfortable.

Yanely G on June 3, 2021

Reliable car, no issues so far.

My Nissan sentra has been reliable, even though it is known to have transmission issues. I have not had any major issues with it so far. I like the look of the car and I've had it since college, but with a growing family it's too small for a family of 5 now being I have 3 children who need a car seat. The back seats are not big enough for 3 car seats.

Katie I on June 3, 2021

Fairly good car, but long term issues.

The car was leased with only 5,000 miles on the odometer. However, it has many issues with the computer aspect of the car. The low tire pressure comes on the second it is under 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat guard underneath the car will start to rattle and eventually break off if you do not get it tightened. The transmission seems to be going after only 5 years of owning.

summer M on May 29, 2021

Horrible transmission but great gas mileage.

I have had this car since 2018 and suddenly in 2020 the transmission is failing, the underlining has come loose and is hanging, some interior is falling apart and many more things wrong, but it does not take much money to fill up the gas tank and the car is really amazing on gas mileage.

Nicole A on May 18, 2021

It looks a lot like the Altima but is cheaper and smaller/easier to park.

This vehicle is cute and has been very dependable. It is great for driving around town or commuting. The v6 engine can make it harder to get on the freeway at times. Overall I would recommend this car to a friend or family member. The interior is fairly basic but easy to clean and looks nice overall.

Itzel C on May 10, 2021

2013 Nissan sentra fe+s!!

This car is very reliable, great performance super comfortable! And amazing eco and sport feature. I love everything about it is great on gas and only take 25 to fill up! If you are thinking about getting this car, get it! Not to mention oil changes are 7,000-10,000 miles, very nice.

Ronald R on May 8, 2021

Nissan sentra 2013 is really good and I love it.

Nissan sentra 2013 performance is really good. It is really worthy to reliability. It is very comfortable and its feature is very good. I really love this vehicle. It is very smooth its fuel economy in the class. Its transmission is quite wonderful. So I really love it.

Shonda R on May 6, 2021

Nissan sentra - pluses and minuses.

Very reliable. Love the interior with the exception of the lightning. I thought the vehicle would have some sort of lighting for the lock/unlock buttons. At nighttime, if you want to lock or unlock your door, you just have to feel around because the buttons do not light up. I do, however, feel like the inside of the vehicle is tight. Person(s) with larger hips may find the seats uncomfortable. There is not a lot of arm room. Additionally, there is not a lot of storage in the middle console. Last, this vehicle has huge blind spots.

Edwin A on May 4, 2021

Transmission/ keyless entry.

The car has a transmission problem. Always buy the warranty to avoid paying more money for the repairs. Do all the oil changes on time in your car will last a long time. The push start is very helpful you don't need to have the keys out to turn it on or to open the doors.

Adam B on May 2, 2021

It is a trash car. Really bad.

Electrical and motor issues constantly. I have had to put a ton of money into it since I bought it. My radio does not always work and it goes off all the time. Constant bad noises coming from the car. For sure will not buy this kind of car again. It is terrible.

Duquasia W on April 30, 2021

Nissan sentra is a fuel efficient, reliable vehicle to have with keyless entry.

This is a very fuel efficient vehicle. I have had my vehicle 6 years and it is given me barely any problems besides regular routine maintenance. Very reliable car if your looking for a vehicle not to big. Trunk space size is fairly big. The key features in my car is the keyless entry option as well as the navigation system installed. Another cool option is the eco friendly mode and sport mode. Sport mode is used for a clean smooth drive in the highways. Eco friendly mode helps you to save gas. Met all of my needs at a great price. Find a parking spot with this sentra is never an issue. Overall I great car and will highly recommend it to anyone.

Luz C on April 24, 2021

2013 Nissan experience from a 30 year old.

I just started having issues with my car stalling on me. Also I began seeing my rpm not working as well as it use to. This began happening after 75,000 miles. I have kept maintenance on my vehicle every 30,000 miles. Overall a great city car to have and easy to upkeep.

Natasha D on April 9, 2021

This is a great and reliable car. Not perfect but does the job!

This car does the job. It has been very reliable since I bought it. I purchased it used and it still has not had any issues which is great! I have not had any major issues with it besides the ones caused by other drivers. I wish it looked nicer. However, getting somewhere safely is the most important. It does the job and that's what matters. Overall, it is a great car and I am glad I purchased it.

Diane on April 5, 2021

CVT Transmission

I had to replace the cvt transmission at 113000 miles, no help from nissan & they know the transmissions are no good

ShaVonte C on April 4, 2021

I love my dependable Nissan sentra.

Had problems with the transmission. Had to bring it back to the dealership twice after they replaced it the first time, so the transmission was replaced three times. Other than that, just normal wear and tear and mileage specific maintenance. No flashy features, just the basics. Smooth ride and good on gas. Overall a very reliable car.

Raven S on April 1, 2021

Nissan sentra: 1st time for perfection.

This vehicle is great on gas, runs smoothly and is good for first time car owners. There is plenty of space, including room for 5 passengers. Not only that, the trunk is very spacious. I've driven this car on the highway multiple nights a week without any problems. No oil leaks, motor issues, no overheating and with the eco drive option I am able to travel while saving gas. On days that I am in a rush, I choose the sport option to speed through traffic.

Cecilia D on March 31, 2021

This car has great traction control which is great when driving on bumpy roads.

I love my vehicle. The acceleration and brake system is amazing. The car is very sleek and is beautiful to look out from the outside as well as the inside. The leather seats are a nice tan color, but they do get really hot when the car is left out in the sun. The car also has a back camera which is great when reversing out of a tight space. I really enjoy going on long drives with this car because it drives so smoothly and does not drink up gas. The car is also very spacious on the inside and the driver's seat has a wide array of adjustability so anyone can be comfortable driving it. The wheel has a great grip and is connected to the radio so can be used to change songs while driving. This is a great help so one does not have to take their eyes off the road to change songs. Additionally the tires on this car are great and very durable, I have driven over unpaved roads, and over rocks with this car and have had no issues. The trunk of the car is very spacious as well. It can fit large boxes of suitcases so it's great when moving out or into a new apartment. This vehicle is very reliable, I have had it for about two years now and have not experienced any real problems, the engine is also great and the car has a lot of mileage. It's a great car overall!

Wanda C on March 29, 2021

The front seats are too close together . Driver and passengers bump elbows a lot. It is "gutless". No get up and go.

It's paid for. It's a good car all in all. Compared to our old car, a PT Cruiser, it's much better.

Peter M on March 29, 2021

Perfectly average vehicle.

Very reliable vehicle, more space than you think, great gas mileage, it is a tad smaller for someone of my size, but overall comfortable for a family of 3 and has enough room to carry what is needed for a weekend getaway. Perfect for the weekend getaway, local driver.

Shelby H on March 27, 2021

Good car for cheap, but you are paying for what you get.

I really like this car, but the fact that it is a v4 really bothers me. I feel that sometimes the car struggles to ''get up and go' while getting onto the interstate, which I drive a lot. I have also had some issues with the transmission when at about 80,000 miles. Luckily, the transmission went out when the car was still under warranty so that I only had to pay a low amount to replace the transmission. This is bad, on the other hand, because I fear that the new transmission will go out just as fast.

Tracy C on March 24, 2021

If you have to travel long distances daily it is dependable and great on gas.

I like that it gets great gas mileage. I do not like the color of it. It's black and shows dirt too much.

Kevin F on March 23, 2021

My sentra is gunmetal gray.

For the price of the car it's not bad. Great on gas and not expensive when it comes to maintenance. The only problem with the car is the transmission tends to give out around 75k miles. Besides the transmission problem there really is not anything particular that makes the car any worse.

Manuel E on March 23, 2021

The vehicle feels great when driving it.

The most problem I had with my vehicle was that even doing the average routines of maintenance every 3k miles, by the 60k miles the vehicle started to fall apart. Would have spend over $10k if the car wasn't insured to fix several problems. But at the end of fixing all the bugs in the car, so far is being behaving great.

danni L on March 21, 2021

It has a stick shift - knowing how to drive a car with a manual transmission should be a requirement to get a driver's license!

I like that my car is a manual transmission and it's not too big. It gets pretty good gas mileage averaging 34 miles per gallon. My car has most standard features (automatic windows and doors, for example), but I wish it had Cruise Control, too.

Sabrina J on March 20, 2021

Dependable, cheap on gas, but not designed for a family with older children.

While still under warranty, the dealership had to replace both wheel bearings at different times. There have been a few recalls, but all-in-all, it's been a good car. It has over 100,000 miles and still drives good. It's small, not good for a family with older kids.

Melissa M on March 16, 2021

It just gets me from Point A to Point B. I don't need something fancy.

It is good on gas and gives me very few problems. I enjoy riding in it and have no issues.

Cathleen D on March 13, 2021

Fast, economical, and fun.

My car is a red 6 speed, economical, fun car. I get 29 mpg in town and 42 mpg on the freeway. Some days I wish I had gotten an automatic transmission but when I get on the open road I remember why I bought it. It's easy maintenance and comfortable front and back seats with plenty of trunk space for big shopping days.

Amanda M on March 12, 2021

Has Bluetooth and built in GPS which is nice.

Came with 20,000 miles, upon getting the vehicle over a year ago I've had to replace parts. Compressor, battery, electrical piece, has had low tire pressure on new tires. The service light turns on when nothing is wrong. Lights have been replaced. Overall is a decent car however the dealership that sold it to me clearly didn't check these things before selling it to me.

Shelby B on March 12, 2021

Transmission trouble but still great.

Overall, I love this car. It is very spacious and drives so smooth. My only issue it that the transmission went out and I had to completely replace it after the car was only five years old. It was very expensive but I haven't had any trouble since. Just standard maintenance.

Lora L on March 11, 2021

I get 32 miles per gallon.

I love my car no major problems just normal maintenance (oil, tune up ect) I have 209,000 miles on my car I taken a lot of road trips to Ohio and California always happy with its performance I noticed once it hit 200,000 miles that when the air conditioner is on when you go from a complete stop it doesn't have the power it had before but that only happens when the ac is on.

It's a 4 door sedan. Copper colored. Takes about 25 to fill the tank.154000 miles. Power locking doors and windows. Fuel airbags and about 21 highway miles per gallon. I have had the far for about 5 years and never had any issues. Everything is up to date and ready to drive without any issues.

Economic car

I have a 2013 sentra with 113000 miles and have had no major problems or repairs. It stinks as far as horsepower goes....even when the sport button is engaged but it gets you from point A to point B.

The Nissan is very good on gas and can run for many miles without quitting.

After a few years, the car makes a rattling sound. The car stills runs well, even with rattling sound. The car is roomy inside. The Nissan is good on gas.

Economy button really helps save on gas

Nissan is reliable and I love it. I wouldn't want another car. Great on gas and it's always a smooth ride

Great car great on gas and very comfy to drive.

I love my nissan sentra! It has eco setting and a sport setting love where the trunk button is. It's great on gas very safe and nice size vehicle. A lot of room for my daughters car seat and she is very tall so a lot of legroom. Even my husband who is pretty tall doesn't mind driving it.

Great on gas and very stylish.

The Nissan sentra is great on gas. I fill my tank every other week to travel 150 miles per week. I rarely take the highways because I enjoy the smooth ride. The interior is very roomy even for my 5'8' tall plus sized body. It has a lot of legroom for myself as well as my passengers. I purchased my sentra brand new and have not had any major issues. Normal maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and new tire purchases has kept my vehicle very dependable. I plan on keeping this car forever.

It's a nice car. It's safe. It's stylish and a great family car. I think Nissan is a high quality and affordable car.

I like the style and look of it. It drives smooth . It has low mileage for the year it was made.

Nissan sentra 10 out of 10!

My Nissan sentra is a really reliable car. I love how smooth it rides and I never have to worry about driving it. The heat/ac runs great and it perfect for summer or winter. The four doors is very nice for family outings and for taking the dogs to the park. I would rate the performance a 10 out of 10 for how smoothly it rides. Very comfortable seats and very roomy!

Thoughts on 2013 Nissan sentra.

2013 Nissan sentra is a great car. Very modern and somewhat sleek in appearance with the inclusion of the GPS screen and backup camera as well. This car is also well-priced. This car is front wheel drive, and also good in terms of mileage. The 2013 Nissan sentra is great in size, and runs fairly well. I have only had a few issues, but mainly during inclement weather. For a first car, I would definitely rank this is one of my top recommendations for this car especially considering factors such as appearance, drive, and price. Good car!

Nissan's vehicles with CVT transmission are no good.

I have 2013 Nissan sentra. I love the gas mileage. My sentra is 7 years old and I have put 2 transmissions in it. The first one was in march of 2017 and the second was January 2020. The second one we paid fully out of pocket. Nissan America refused to help us and they continue to sell and manufacture these vehicles with a CVT transmissions. They only guarantee their replacement transmissions for 20,000 miles. My car had 38,000 miles on the 1st replacement. However, they go by mileage on the car not the actual miles on the transmission. Any Nissan with a CVT transmission should be taken off the market they are dangerous.

2013 Nissan Sentra Review

The 2013 Nissan Sentra is a great vehicle for the city and for travel. It has a spacious backseat and trunk and just an overall good car. However, since it (2013 model) is the first of it's kind when Nissan redesigned the Sentra, it has a few problems such as a faulty compressor and technical issues.

Fantastic affordable car for a family of 4.

It is a very reliable, comfortable, and affordable car. Some of the interior feels cheap, and is coming apart and is easy to knock out of place. The gas mileage is really good. Decent amount of trunk space. I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever.

Great car!! Make this your next purchase.

Love this vehicle. Will buy another. Very roomy and does everything that I need it to. Trunk space is awesome. Handles very well on the roads and highways. I have had the car for 4 years now and have kept it well maintained and it has not had any issues. This is the car for you!

My Nissan sentra is durable.

Cells in battery are a problem obviously but my Nissan sentra manages to ride on strong due to its quality. Nissan cars tend to give a lot of problems here & there but because of its car quality & performance, it is durable. I believe Nissan cars should add more safety & security to their cars.

Good but the gas doesn't last.

It's good and everything but the gas burn too quickly. Even if I use the economy button to save gas it gets wasted away too quickly.
